The young Foxes returned after a short break from competitive action with an entertaining draw at LCFC Training Ground, initially going behind to Kyle Fitzgerald's opener just 10 minutes in.
The Magpies netted a second on the half-hour mark, through Vakhtang Salia, who doubled the visitors' lead.
City are now 11th in PL2.
It all turned after half-time, as the side coached by Leon McSweeney mounted a comeback. It took just five minutes to halve the deficit, with the in-form Kirsten Otchere finding the net.
City kept at it and, with 13 minutes remaining, got the reward. Lorenz Hutchinson found the equaliser, ensuring a share of the spoils for our youngsters.
