It was a first defeat of the PL2 season for the young Foxes, who went behind just two minutes into the contest courtesy of Luca Williams-Barnett’s early opener.
City U21s captain Olabade Aluko produced a sublime solo strike to hit back 21 minutes in, but Williams-Barnett soon doubled his and Spurs’ tally ahead of the half-hour mark. We equalised again five minutes later, courtesy of Silko Thomas’ goal, teed up by Logan Briggs.
Thomas was among the scorers in Seagrave.

The first-half scoring wasn’t done there and Rio Kyerematen ensured that the Lilywhites regained the lead, before Williams-Barnett completed his hat-trick inside 41 minutes.
Leicester responded once more via Jake Evans’ goal early in the second period, assisted by Aluko, but that’s as good as it got and a Kyerematen brace pulled Tottenham further clear, before the closing stages saw Leo Black hit the sixth.
Now sitting ninth in the PL2 standings, with seven points from four games, Blackburn Rovers are the next visitors to Seagrave in the league on Monday 29 September.
A busy week ahead for the young Foxes.

Before then, it’s another quick turnaround for the side coached by Leon McSweeney, with Valencia due at LCFC Training Ground in the Premier League International Cup on Tuesday, prior to hosting Ipswich Town in the Premier League Cup three days later (all 7pm BST kick-offs).
