Winger arrives at the Football Club from Tottenham Hotspur
The 20-year-old is an England youth international
The 20-year-old winger makes the move to King Power Stadium having gained experience in the Barclays Women’s Super League with Spurs, as well as during previous spells with Southampton, Crystal Palace and Watford.
Speaking to LCFC.com, Araya said: “My ambitions and those of the Club match. This is the perfect place for me to grow as a person and as a player. I want to bring my qualities and help build the team back to where it wants to be.
"I've had good experience in these sorts of environments and want to contribute as much as I can. I'm excited to play here, excited to see the fans and feel their support."
A product of Arsenal’s academy, Dennis gained her first experience of senior football during a dual-registration spell with Watford in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division in 2022/23, helping the Hornets secure promotion.
She joined Crystal Palace on dual-registration terms the following season and went on to make 25 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals as the Eagles claimed the Barclays Women’s Championship title and promotion to the top flight.
Dennis signed a professional contract with Tottenham Hotspur in February 2024 and remained with Palace on loan for the rest of their promotion-winning campaign.
She subsequently made nine senior appearances for Spurs, scoring against Crystal Palace in the Women’s League Cup, before spending the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan with Southampton in the WSL 2.
Internationally, our newest recruit has represented England at Under-17 and Under-19 level, featuring at the UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship in 2023 and the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship the following year.
She has now linked up with the squad at Belvoir Drive and will join preparations for our season opener away to Sheffield United on Sunday 6 September.
