  • Tom Wilson-Brown played the full game in a defeat for Swindon Town
The 17-year-old forward, whose loan move was announced ahead of kick-off at New York Stadium, was introduced as an 81st minute substitute in the defeat, which moved the Millers within touching distance of Town in the relegation zone.
Remaining inside the bottom four, Kevin Nolan’s side host Reading at Sixfields Stadium on Saturday (2pm kick-off) for their next Sky Bet League 1 fixture.
Staying in the third tier, Will Alves was an unused substitute as Huddersfield Town claimed a 1-0 home victory over Luton Town at Accu Stadium.
Liam Manning’s side stay in sixth, occupying the final play-off position, with Alves’ next opportunity to feature coming on Saturday against Peterborough United, as the Terriers head to Weston Homes Stadium for a 3pm kick-off.
In Sky Bet League 2, meanwhile, Nathan Opoku scored his fourth league goal of the season for Newport County, before later receiving a red card, during a 4-1 home defeat to Accrington Stanley at Rodney Parade.
Remaining just inside the relegation zone, the Exiles will travel to meet 22nd-place Bristol Rovers at Memorial Stadium on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off) without the suspended forward.
Tom Wilson-Brown started and played another 90 minutes for Swindon Town at left-back but could not prevent a 2-1 loss at Notts County. Positioned just inside the League 2 play-offs, the Robins host Barrow at the County Ground on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
Sammy Braybrooke remained on the Chesterfield bench as Paul Cook’s men secured a late 1-0 success at Salford City to move up to eighth and within two points of the League 2 play-off spots.
