Russell Martin provides an injury update on his Leicester City squad
Conor Chaplin has trained with his Foxes team-mates during the past week
We host Burton Albion at King Power Stadium on Saturday (3pm BST kick-off)
Jayden Joseph trained also having taken a 'whack' during last weekend's draw at Notts County
The new Leicester City signing has not yet featured in a competitive fixture - missing the Carabao Cup victory over Northampton Town and the opening-day league draw at Notts County.
Chaplin, though, is back in training ahead of the visit of Gary Bowyer's Burton, with the Manager now weighing up whether to include the 29-year-old in his matchday squad for Saturday's King Power Stadium clash. With a Carabao Cup Second Round trip away at Premier League outfit Ipswich Town, Chaplin's former club, to come on Tuesday, that will also be considered as the fixture schedule begins to become congested at this early stage of 26/27.
"Conor has trained really well this week," Martin told reporters in Seagrave on Friday afternoon. "He is back training. We have to make a decision tomorrow. He’s an amazing person to have in and around. His energy and his leadership has been fantastic."
Elsewhere, Academy graduate Jayden Joseph, who scored his first professional goal for us at Notts County last weekend, has also been in training after playing through a knock at Meadow Lane. “JJ took a whack really early on in the Notts County game," the Manager added. "He managed to play through [it]. He’s been training so we’ll just have to assess that, but he’s fine, so he’s good to go."
