The race for entry into next year's World Cup in the Americas is heating up, with several of our African stars, all featuring over the recent days and all taking points in their respective matches.

Ayew was the first to feature on Monday night as Leicester's No.18 registered three assists in a convincing 3-0 win over Madagascar, which leaves the Black Stars top of Group I with five wins from six matches.

There was also victory for El Khannouss and Morocco, as they beat Tanzania 2-0 this week, with the City midfielder playing 86 minutes at Stade Municipal. Nayef Aguerd and Brahim Díaz netted in the second half to keep up a 100 per cent record after five games played.

Concluding their sixth game with a draw, Nigeria sit fourth in Group C with seven points, as they look to chase down the qualification spots.

De Cordova-Reid got a full game for Jamaica on Wednesday morning against Saint Vincent & Grenadines in a CONCACAF Gold Cup Qualifier, winning 3-0 in the game, resulting in a 4-1 win on aggregate.

The last Fox to feature on the global stage was Under-18s player Louis Page who came on as a substitute, replacing Max Dowman, against Northern Ireland in a 5-0 win for the young Lions.
