City’s youngsters continued their U18 Premier League campaign with a point against the Cottagers last weekend, following two late goals from the hosts in the capital.
Discussing Saturday’s draw, Barradell mentioned a lack of concentration in the final minutes but stands by the fact that City put themselves in a strong enough position to see out the win.
“I thought the first half, our performance level was excellent,” the coach stated. “The boys really took on the ideas we wanted out of possession and were hard to beat and hard to breakdown, while being great on the counter-attack to score two goals.

“It’s disappointing to not get the three points. I thought we were going to hold on at the end, but a lack of concentration and mistake gave Fulham the chance to score from a penalty.
“But overall, there were a lot of positives to take; we had six Under-16s and one Under-15s player with us so they did well, but frustrating not to get the win because I thought they deserved it.”
One player that has been shining lately is Lorenz Hutchinson, who netted for the fourth game in a row, taking his tally up to 11 for the season.
“Lorenz has had a good year,” Barradell continued. “He had a slow start to the season as he had an injury but second half of the year, he’s become an excellent goalscorer with his pace in behind.
“He’s shown himself in the last 15 games and is on good scoring form. He’s a lad that can take on good information and it’s aided his development.

“He’s working hard and hopefully he can keep that fine finishing form going for the rest of the season.”
Leicester now look forward to a home test against Arsenal at LCFC Training Ground this Saturday morning (11:30am BST kick-off) and Barradell is hoping the reverse fixture a few weeks back will put them in good stead.
“Playing Arsenal a couple of weeks ago, we know each other very well,” the coach explained. “I thought in the recent game against them, it got away from us a little so we’re hoping for a good performance.
“There’s lots to look forward to in the coming games.”
