Premier League 2 action returned to Seagrave this week and the side coached by Leon McSweeney got off to the perfect start on home soil.

It took just nine minutes for our youngsters to break the deadlock. Michael Golding found the net, following up when Nathan Opoku was denied by Armin Pecsi.

The advantage became two on the half-hour mark courtesy of Opoku, who made no mistake himself this time, capitalising on a loose pass before converting past Pecsi.

The Reds did respond just after half-time, Jayden Danns the man to halve the deficit, finding the top corner once he was set up by Michael Laffey.

City soon regained control of the contest either side of the hour mark, firstly through Opoku's second of the match, before Golding also completed his brace from close range.

There would be a consolation second from Laffey late on, after Leicester failed to clear a corner, but it would be the Foxes claiming all three PL2 points on the night.

It's a quick turnaround this week, with a trip to Reading coming up on Friday, facing the Royals at Select Car Leasing Stadium (7pm BST kick-off).
