London City in focus

London City Lionesses drew with West Ham United before the break.

This year’s promoted side have wasted no time in getting to grips with life in the top flight, as they sit seventh in the standings, having won six of their 19 games during their debut season.

Freya Godfrey, Isobel Goodwin and Nikita Parris have all netted four times this league term, for a balanced team that looks well-equipped for a long tenure in the top division.

Coached by Eder Maestre since the turn of the year, a mid-table finish is already confirmed for the London outfit, but that doesn’t mean it will be an easy task for Rick Passmoor’s side this weekend.

The Foxes camp

We have beaten London City twice this season in all competitions.

After picking up nine points in the first half of the season, 2026 has failed to be kind to the Foxes, who are still searching for a first success of the calendar year.

On an eight-game run of straight losses, since our last win, which came against the Lionesses before Christmas, we’ll be hoping fortunes are set to turn in this final block of matches, as we fight for our WSL survival.

Goals have been hard to come by for Leicester this term, but our players have showed their capabilities in front of goal during the recent international break, with Hannah Cain, Sari Kees, Olivia McLoughlin and Emily van Egmond all scoring for their respected nations since defeat at home to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Tickets are on sale until Thursday at midday, and can be found online, priced at £12 for adults and £9 for over-65s and under-25s, while under-8s can attend for £6. Our allocation of 244 can be found in the North Terrace, behind one of the goals.

The midday fixture will be shown live on Sky Sports, and highlights of the action will be available on Foxes Hub and our official YouTube channel from midday on Monday.
