Sunday’s loss was a big lesson for Miquel’s side, who conceded four goals for only the second time this season; the first against Manchester City back in December.
In an attempt to analyse what went wrong at Walton Hall Park, the Manager couldn’t pinpoint one specific aspect that opened the door for the Toffees.
Miquel analysed defensive mistakes following the full-time whistle.

“I think that we could’ve done better,” Miquel commented. “We made mistakes collectively and we need to learn from this and make sure that we are more consistent out of possession.
“There are many aspects where you could say the goals came from and they are different points we need to improve, and we know that.
“When you take the goals, first it’s hard mentally; when it’s one it’s okay, but when it’s more it’s hard mentally. We need to learn from this and keep giving everything as we have done in other games out of possession.
“It doesn’t happen often (conceding goals), but it has happened today, so we need to work hard in training and make sure that we are moving well together. Today, there were too many holes in our block.”

There were a couple of positives from the afternoon on Merseyside, the first of which being Shannon O’Brien’s first goal in 358 days, before Hlín Eiríksdóttir made her Foxes debut, coming on for the last 10 minutes.
“It was good for us to come back from 1-0 down quite quickly and gave us hope,” Miquel continued. “I’m very happy for Shannon to score.
“The intention for Hlín is to give her more and more game time to get her fit and allow her to adapt to this league and hopefully help us on the pitch.
“It’s a tough opponent (Manchester City) up next but as we’ve seen in other games, we don’t have to make any different decisions; we just need to go out there and give our best and that’s what we’ll do on Sunday.”
