“My proudest moment of my career would be playing in the 2014 World Cup with Bosnia. It was our one and only major tournament since the independence. For it to be in Brazil that year as well was pretty cool.
“I really enjoyed the experienced. We lost to Argentina. It was an incredible experience to play against Argentina and Leo Messi in Rio. We lost that one 2-1 and then unfortunately 1-0 to Nigeria as well, but we beat Iran (3-1) in the third game.
“That wasn’t enough to make it through the group stages, but it doesn’t get any better than playing at a World Cup. It was our first and only one so far.
“The group of players we had, the staff, it was special. It’s probably by number one moment but then, if you’re looking at club moments, winning the Premier League in 2017 (with Chelsea) is up there. Winning that title was amazing as well.”
