The Ghanaian striker, 23, signed for us in January 2023 from FDM Field Masters Sporting Club in the United States. He has since impressed during two separate loan spells with OH Leuven in Belgium, where he scored goals in the Jupiler Pro League and gained valuable senior experience.
Opoku has also impressed for City’s Development Squad this term and now heads to Rodney Parade to continue his progression in the English game ahead of the team’s next game at home to Bristol Rovers on Saturday 6 September.
