The Leicester City Development Squad were beaten 2-0 by Hull City on Friday evening
City's youngsters sit third in Group B with four points
Jayden Joseph shared his post-match thoughts at LCFC Training Ground
A goal in either half from the Tigers saw Leicester beaten in Group B of the Premier League Cup, who sit third in the standings with as many points as second-placed Coventry City.
Sharing his thoughts after the game, Joseph admitted a lack of cutting edge in the opponents' box made it a challenging evening but believes the build-up play is working well.
"It's very disappointing to lose," Joseph admitted. "We played well throughout the game but we couldn't take our chances. It's definitely something we need to work on for the matches coming up.
"The problem is not about playing out, it's the final touches and ingredient to put the ball into the back of the net.
"Scoring more would be a bigger boost to the team and get us going again."
Speaking about encouraging signs in Seagrave, the defender believes the cup fixture was a good test which imitated a men's level game, and provide a key learning lesson for the squad.
Joseph added: "It feels as close to a first team game as we can get at this age, but it's good experience playing against first team players and test ourselves to see what we can do against them.
"It's been good; I've been trying to focus and play my game and keep training hard to get into the First Team."
