  • Leicester City’s No Room For Racism game will be against Nottingham Forest
  • The campaign highlights clubs’ commitment to tackling discrimination and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Rukhsana Hussain from Leicester City in the Community named No Room For Racism Icon
All Premier League matches between 19 and 27 October are dedicated to the initiative as clubs highlight their ongoing commitment to tackling discrimination and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
No Room For Racism branding will be visible throughout the stadium on matchday as the Club shows its support in the fight against discrimination.
This period of No Room For Racism activity falls within Black History Month, with this year’s theme of Reclaiming Narratives focusing on uncovering and sharing stories of Black history and culture.
This provides an opportunity to pay homage to the contribution of Black, Asian and minority ethnic people working in the game to celebrate the strength and heritage of diversity on and off the pitch across the Premier League.
The Premier League is bringing all 20 clubs together to produce creative illustrations demonstrating that diversity makes football stronger. With support from each club, the League has produced digital artworks of a No Room For Racism Icon – somebody who is inspirational to the club and community.
Leicester City’s No Room For Racism Icon is Rukhsana Hussain – who leads Leicester City in the Community’s Active Women programme.
Active Women is a female only project in the Wycliffe Ward of Leicester, which encourages women from ethnically diverse backgrounds to become more active by offering a variety of sessions including social and physical activities.
The scheme aims to increase mental, physical and emotional wellbeing and have a more active female population in this area.
