The Silver Foxes meet at King Power Stadium once a fortnight
Group was formed in 2019 and they have more than 40 members
Initiative helps over-55s to stay active, make new friends and reduce social isolation
The Zambia international met the over-55s group for an afternoon of fun, posing for photographs with delighted participants and taking part in a quiz.
The Silver Foxes meet in the Community Hub on Filbert Way once a fortnight to socialise, play games and enjoy a hot drink and a chat.
Formed in 2019, the group has more than 40 members who provide a welcoming space for people aged 55 and over to stay active, meet new friends and support one another’s mental wellbeing while helping to reduce social isolation.
Patson said: “It was a pleasure to meet and spend time with the Silver Foxes. They gave me such a warm welcome and you can see how much the group means to everyone involved.
“I really enjoyed hearing some of their stories and finding out more about their love for Leicester City and what the Club means to them.
“The work Leicester City in the Community do is amazing as they help to make such a positive difference to people’s lives.”
The Silver Foxes also arrange trips and activities throughout the year, with recent visits including Bruges, Leuven and Bourton-on-the-Water.
Through our charitable arm, the group forms our ongoing commitment to supporting the local community, helping to tackle social isolation and promote positive wellbeing across the city and county.
