Weekly powerchair football sessions in Leicestershire
Activities take place each Wednesday at Huncote Leisure Centre
Monday’s game dedicated to our Disability Matters campaign
Recognising the limited football provision for individuals with disabilities or physical impairments in Leicestershire, our charitable arm acted in 2022 and launched a dedicated powerchair football programme to create a welcoming and accessible environment for all.
Taking place at Huncote Leisure Centre every Wednesday from 4-6pm, the sessions are priced at just £3 and supported by:
Wheelchair Football Association
Boost Charitable Trust
Sport England
We also work closely with Everyone Active, who generously allow us to store and charge the powerchairs at their leisure facility, ensuring easy access for participants.
The sessions are open to everyone, with bookings available on a term-by-term basis. Participants can secure their place in a block of sessions, but newcomers are welcome to join at any time.
We encourage all football fans, regardless of ability, to come and experience the thrill of powerchair football.
Whether you’re looking to develop your skills, meet new people or simply enjoy the sport, we’re dedicated to making football accessible to all.
Please email luke.miller@lcfc.co.uk for details and to book your place. Disability Matters
We’re committed to ensuring that every supporter feels welcomed and supported on matchdays.
Our Disability Matters fixture against Newcastle United is an opportunity to celebrate and showcase our ongoing work in making football accessible to all.
