The departure of Martí Cifuentes as Leicester City Manager followed last weekend’s 2-1 home defeat to Oxford United, with First Team Coach Andy King taking charge of team preparations on an interim basis.
As captain, Ricardo is looking to rally the troops and overcome this spell of form, after picking up one point from the previous three matches.

It leaves us 14th in the table prior to taking on Nathan Jones’ side, who currently sit 19th and also lost last time out. A close encounter in the reverse fixture at The Valley earlier this term, Abdul Fatawu’s wondergoal separated the sides.
“It is really difficult,” the Foxes full-back admitted, speaking to CITY Matchday Magazine this week. “Especially after playing two away games, we wanted to turn things around at home. We are really disappointed with the (Oxford) result and the performance as well. We cannot think that we have 17 games left – it needs to happen now.
“We need to give our all on Saturday and treat it like a final. It’s going to be a difficult game. They need points, we need points. We know how tough our away game against them was – a team who never rests and they fight for every ball.
“We need to be up for that challenge as a team and be ready to fight. For sure, we still have time to turn this around, finish this season on a high and have the possibility of creating good things.”

The Portuguese defender says it’s up to the players to give the Blue Army something to cheer about, having not tasted victory in the Sky Bet Championship since the win over West Bromwich Albion on Filbert Way at the start of the year.
“It’s a two-way street,” the 32-year-old explained. “If we push them, if we fight, if we play well – they will be with us. If they get behind us then we will have even more strength. They can be very important but we have to do our bit.
“That 12th player is so important and we don’t have time to waste. The most important thing now is Saturday’s game, so we need to maybe forget a little bit of what’s happened. Of course, it is not easy to do that because football is an emotional game, but we need them more than ever.
“Everyone pushing together, we can change things around as one united club. It’s all about the result and trying to create something between us, staff and fans.”
