  • We were beaten 1-0 by Millwall at The Den on Saturday
  • Ricardo Pereira says Leicester City must show togetherness to repair our form
  • Martí Cifuentes’ men are currently 10th in the Sky Bet Championship
  • Two home games in a row are an opportunity to put points on the board
Femi Azeez's 44th-minute strike settled the contest at The Den against an in-form Lions side who sit third in the table, while Leicester City are currently 10th.
It’s been a disappointing week for the Foxes, who also lost at Hull City last Tuesday, but with a double-header of home games coming up, there’s an opportunity to put it right.
“It’s frustrating of course,” captain Ricardo said afterwards in south London. “We’ve had a bad week. I think, especially after the first half in midweek, we wanted to show a different face of ourselves.

“We wanted to show that we aren’t what happened. At moments, although here it’s a difficult place to come, we tried to impose our game, we tried to control the game.
“At moments we did in the first half, in my opinion. Then it’s a shame to [concede] a goal just before half-time. That changes a little bit the mood when you go inside.
“It’s difficult trying to chase, trying to get the goal. We’re disappointed. We know every game is difficult when you concede first.
“You then have to chase the game and they are a team playing at home with a good momentum. It always goes for them. You sometimes take some risks, so it’s about being clinical. They scored the chance they had and we didn’t.”

Ricardo says City were prepared for the battle Millwall were always likely to present, but things didn’t work out at The Den. Togetherness and hard work, he says, are the way out of this form as we prepare to host Blackburn Rovers and then Middlesbrough.
“We knew that beforehand, we were prepared for that,” he added. “In that sense, we tried, not always making the right choices.
“We didn’t do always what we wanted and it wasn’t perfect. We know it’s time to regroup. We have to do this together.
“That’s it. For sure, you can see heads are down, which is normal after the game, but we have to now be disappointed today, but we need to regroup and it’s only if we stick together and keep working and give our best every day that we’ll change things.”
