The Foxes are due at London Stadium for an 8pm kick-off in the capital on Thursday, needing a victory to close the gap to Wolves, in 17th, back to two points.
It’s been a deeply frustrating time for City, currently unable to put a run of positive results together to climb the table. Continuing to work hard in training and approaching games with the correct mindset is the only way we can return to winning ways, Soumaré believes.
“Currently, both as a group and on a personal level, all we think about the next game,” the Frenchman said earlier this week. “We’ll work hard and we want to take the three points back home.
“We’ve got 12 games left and we’re all very involved, we’re going to work hard to get as many points as possible. We know we can still do it, we’re going to fight for it, and we are doing. We need to be tight, we need to be united.
“We need to do it ourselves and for the supporters and the Club. We want to focus on ourselves. We know it’s within us, so we’ll work hard so we can get the points.

"I’m confident in my group, with the team-mates, and the Club. We’ve been working hard. It’s true it doesn’t necessarily translate into points right now but we will remain confident and keep working hard.”
Soumaré’s football journey began in his homeland, taking him to giants Paris Saint-Germain before then winning the Ligue 1 title with Lille. Those experiences have helped him become a valued member of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s squad this season as the 25-year-old also discussed what separates the Premier League from other divisions.
“These were very good years, even though I was away from family,” he explained. “It was still within the Paris area. I can be proud to have represented the club of my town, where I grew up.
“I’ve learned a lot in that time. I learn from each experience which is beneficial, both as a person and a player. It’s great to have had that experience.
“It’s the intensity [which elevates the Premier League]. The transition is very distinctive, how they play here. It is the main difference for the Premier League.
“It’s also the fact that any club can beat any other club, which is not necessarily the case in other leagues. It’s what makes it beautiful and what makes the Premier League special.”
