After two games in the Barclays Women's Super League, the most recent seeing City lose 1-0 to Arsenal at King Power Stadium, attention turns to the League Cup for the first time this term on Wednesday.
Compiling Group D with the Robins, Birmingham City and Brighton & Hove Albion, the French defender is hoping to replicate a positive performance against the Gunners to start strong in the competition.
"It'll be a great game," Thibaud stated. "They (Bristol City) got relegated last season from the WSL so we can expect a high level performance from them, and to get a good result we have to play 100 per cent like it's a league game.
Julie Thibaud spoke on the importance of the Leicester fans.
Julie Thibaud spoke on the importance of the Leicester fans.
"If we play like we did against Arsenal I think we'll do well. It's important to be the home team and we will be for three games in a row which is nice because we don't have to travel."
Having the added bonus of a home crowd, Thibaud went on to talk about the impact they can have on the team, especially in the final stages of games, when games can be won or lost.
The No.17 added: "Like we say, it's important to play in front of our fans as it gives us confidence, especially towards the end of games when we might need the extra energy.
"We will recover well now and head into the game ready to go and hoping to get the result we want."
