A week break from fixtures has allowed for the midfielder to return to fitness and rejoin the rest of the group in training, but unfortunately for the Foxes, that is one silver lining to other concerns in the squad.

Along with the long-term absentees of Sam Tierney, Celeste Boureille and Emma Jansson, the Manager stated that Leah Eddie is set for more weeks on the sidelines, along with Olivia Clark and Jess Ziu, who missed out on both Republic of Ireland fixtures, having received the call-up a few weeks prior.

"We're heavy on the injury side and have been for several weeks," Passmoor explained. "But the medical department are working hard and the players have a great mindset, and want to return which helps in their rehab.

The captain has undergone surgery to her ACL.

"Celeste [Boureille] is working hard in the gym, potentially been back in late December. Unfortunately, Emma Jansson has had a bit of a setback, and has had to go back into surgery to get another look at her ankle, so she's in a boot.

"Liv [Clark] is in the gym because we have issues with her lower back, so we'll see how she progresses over the coming weeks and of course our captain, Sam Tierney, has had her operation now and is resting before getting back into a bespoke training plan.

"Leah Eddie played about 75 minutes of the first game, but hasn't been seen since, so we're looking at about December before she returns, and Jess Ziu will also miss out this weekend, as she's picked up a knock."

He also spoke about Swedish midfielder, Emilia Pelgander, who has been heavily involved this season, since returning from loan in her native country.

As mentioned, McLoughlin, who celebrated her 22nd birthday on Thursday, has a strong chance of being included in the matchday squad for the first time this campaign, when we take on the Hornets this weekend.

Jess Ziu will miss Saturday's clash with Watford.

"When we went into Sunderland, we didn't announce it, but Emilia [Pelgander] wasn't training with us, so to actually have her out for the majority of the game is a credit to her and the medical team.

"This all has created opportunities for others, but we're looking forward to having them back in the team because they're important players, but one really good piece of positive news is that Olivia McLoughlin has been back in team training this week.

"We'll assess how she comes out of training tomorrow to see if she's able to play this weekend, but we have to be careful because she's been out for this season so far, but I imagine she will be travelling with us."
