Amandine Miquel spoke to the media about the squad's fitness
She hopes Belgian international Sari Kees will be fit for the visit of Liverpool this weekend
We welcome the Reds to King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon (3pm GMT kick-off)
After a frustrating 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, LCFC Women will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways this weekend when Matt Beard's Liverpool come to King Power Stadium. Following her withdrawal from the line-up minutes before kick-off in the capital last time out, Miquel provided an update on Kees, revealing she has fingers crossed that she'll be back fit, but admits it may be too early to tell. Miquel spoke on the absence of Shana Chossenotte.
"So far, so good, there's no more injuries," the Manager announced. "Sari [Kees] is looking fine, and I'm guessing she'll be okay for the weekend but we'll have to see. Anything can happen."
The former Stade de Reims Manager also provided an update on French winger Shana Chossenotte, who has been absent from team selections since November. "Shana [Chossenotte] is struggling with some pain that we're trying to deal with," Miquel continued. "I'm not sure if it'll be long term but we're working to get her back to fitness."
