The Foxes youngster, making his first start since September due to a foot injury, fired in a 37th-minute strike which set the Terriers on the way to a home victory over their Sky Bet League 1 opponents at Accu Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The 20-year-old midfielder came through an hour unscathed, following a substitute appearance at the weekend, with his standout moment a superb solo effort, bending the ball into the far corner from outside the area after turning onto his right foot.
Lasse Sørensen and Cameron Ashia added further goals to ensure the Yorkshire outfit's progression into the quarter-finals of the competition, with Port Vale, Doncaster Rovers and Stockport County also through from the north section of the draw.

In the southern section, meanwhile, fellow City loanee Tom Wilson-Brown also made his return from injury, featuring for the first time since the final group fixture in November, helping Swindon Town to record a 2-1 success at Luton Town.
The 21-year-old defender played the first half at Kenilworth Road, which saw the Robins recover from going behind to a Jerry Yates penalty, through goals from Will Wright and Filozofe Mabete either side of the break.
They'll face one of Wimbledon, Plymouth Argyle, Northampton Town and Walsall in the last-eight, with all Under-21s side now knocked out.
Back to league duties on Saturday, it's an away trip to Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium for Huddersfield in tier three, while League 2 Swindon host Salford at the County Ground (both 3pm GMT kick-offs).
