The race for promotion back to the Premier League is heating up and Choudhury’s Blades have recorded back-to-back wins in the second division.
Coming on as a late substitute in a 3-1 win against Middlesborough, the midfielder then came back into the starting line-up and played a full 90 in a 1-0 win against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road; Anel Ahmedhodzic scored a 79th-minute winner.
Sitting second and just two points off leaders Leeds, the City loanee has the chance to go top of the league should Chris Wilder's side come out on top at Bramall Lane on Monday evening (8pm kick-off).
Will Alves in action for Cardiff City.
Also in Championship action was youngster Will Alves, who most recently played 90 minutes of the clash between Cardiff City and Bristol City, which ended in a 1-1 draw after Yousef Salech’s late equaliser for the Bluebirds.
Three points above the drop, the Welsh club face second-bottom Plymouth Argyle away in Saturday's early kick-off (12:30pm).
Lower down the pyramid, several Foxes have been in action, including Oli Ewing, who has played the last two full matches for Buxton in the Vanarama National League North. Most recently losing out to Radcliffe, our Academy loanee had scored an 87th-minute winner against South Shields.
Midfielder Arjan Raikhy, meanwhile, has featured for a total of 25 minutes across Tamworth’s last two Vanarama National League games against Woking and Yeovil Town but has the chance to get a start against Southend United this Saturday (3pm kick-off).
The last two players to feature were Brandon Cover, who last played in Fleetwood Town’s narrow Sky Bet League 2 loss to Bromley, and Ben Grist, with the defender involved in the full match for Worksop in their 3-2 away win over Hebburn Town.
