Jannik Vestergaard’s late leveller sealed a point from a clash which Leicester City had targeted for three at a blustery SToK Cae Ras in midweek.
Although disappointed not to return to the East Midlands with a win, Jamaica international De Cordova-Reid is targeting victory at King Power Stadium this weekend.
Now under the guidance of former Luton Town manager Matt Bloomfield, the U’s find themselves in the bottom three ahead of Saturday’s 3pm GMT kick-off.
Reflecting on Tuesday’s draw in north east Wales, De Cordova-Reid said: “I think we take the point. I think we were in the game. There wasn’t much in it.

“There were a few half chances in the first half. We understood what game it was going to be. You have to battle, you have to fight. I think the goal’s soft again, but we’ll analyse it. To get a point, we’ll take it and move on.
“You’ve got to stay in the game, you can’t give up. We didn’t do that. It’s a great header back in by Calab to keep the ball in play and then Jannik put it away.
“We’re happy to take the point considering how the game’s gone and we’ll just move on. Every game we go into, we’re trying to win.
“If we can’t win, the next best thing is to take a point. Considering how the game was, how we played, and how things were, it’s a point we’ll take and we’ll move on.”
The conditions were tough in Wrexham, but applied to both teams, with the first half seeing the wind behind the Foxes, before having to battle against it after the restart.

“It is what it is,” he added. “We understand it’s the same for both teams. We’ve just got to go with the conditions and try and do well.
“Obviously, with the wind in the first half, the ball was very quick, going in behind, so we’ve just got to try and play the conditions.
“We’ll take the point and move on. They’re going to come out firing [in the second half] and they put us under pressure, that’s football.
“There’s never 90 minutes where you’re going to dominate. The team’s going to have a spell of putting us under pressure and we’ve got to weather it. They did score, but the lads fought well to get back in the game.
“We know we’ve got to put everything right from the past two games and get a win and three points and a good performance. We’ll go into it looking to do that.”
