A first U18 Premier League South victory since late August, it was a welcome three points for the side coached by Adam Barradell, who had to fight hard after a testing start at LCFC Training Ground.

A Maxwell Adedeji own goal saw the Baggies break the deadlock just after the quarter-of-an-hour mark, prior to Noah Charles Evenor Dupont doubling their advantage in the first half.

City came out fighting in the second period, however, halving the deficit four minutes after the restart. Reiss Khela's strike provided hope and just three minutes later, Kaleb Dyke converted to equalise.

The Foxes, now in the ascendancy, made that dominance count almost immediately, with Bismark Owusu netting a third to take the lead for the first time.

Adedeji soon made amends for his earlier own goal, finding the fourth, assisted by Khela, to confirm a much-needed victory for City on home soil.

Lifting us up to 10th, with 12 points from 12 matches, a trip to Reading's Bearwood Park Training Facility awaits on Saturday (12pm kick-off).
