Crystal Palace are the visitors to King Power Stadium on Saturday (5:30pm GMT kick-off) as Claude Puel’s men attempt to record their first victory since beating Everton 1-0 at Goodison Park on New Year’s Day.

Ndidi knows the target now must be to amass as many points as possible before the end of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign as they approach a series of matches against sides around them in the top-flight standings.

“We always try our best, and sometimes it doesn’t go our way,” Ndidi said. “We can’t sit back and let it get us down, we just try to work hard and move forwards.

Wilfred Ndidi has played 28 times in all competitions for Leicester City in 2018/19.

“The most important thing is to try and convert our chances at the right time. I think if we convert more chances, we go up in the game and it’ll give us more confidence to go forward throughout the game.

“That’s the other important thing, getting points from games. If we get points from games, it gives you the edge to actually move towards the top. Because of the quality of players we’ve got, we just need to work hard and look forward to the next game.”

The 22-year-old knows the Foxes are expected to win several of their upcoming games, but their performance levels cannot drop if they are to be successful over the next couple of weeks.

Every team is tough, it’s the Premier League. We are looking forward to the game. We are at home with the fans and the atmosphere and their support.

“Hopefully we can win, we just have to put in our minds and say ‘these are the teams below the top six’,” Ndidi continued.

“We just need to take team game as it comes, because we don’t try to underrate anyone, or look down on any team, we just try to do our best and try to give everything and win games.
