Providing solutions for various logistical needs, DHL has been an essential part of the Club's operation over recent seasons, especially during City's 2016/17 UEFA Champions League campaign.

DHL's Miami Hub Hosts Taggart & Filbert Fox

Gerry Taggart and Filbert Fox visited DHL's Miami hub last week to toast over five years of partnership with Leicester City.

Ahead of Saturday and Sunday's NBC Premier League Mornings Live fan festival, Taggart and Filbert first visited DHL's Miami hub to underline the importance of their partnership.

In the company of DHL's Americas board, including CEO Mike Parra, who also sits on the global management board, the Leicester City contingent presented everyone with commemorative replica shirts.

Taggart, on the other hand, who lifted the League Cup with the Foxes in 2000, also took questions from the room, both concerning his career in football and DHL's significance to the Football Club.

It’s a great opportunity for us to allow our employees to activate around the relationship with Leicester, but also customers.

Speaking to LCFC TV after taking Taggart and Filbert on a tour of the facilities, meeting hundreds of staff members, Parra said: "We’re really excited to welcome Gerry and Filbert here today.

"It’s five years now into this relationship, [we’re] really proud of the fact that we’re able to work together. It’s big for our employees. So, we’ve got a big hub in [the] East Midlands, as you know, and it’s not far away from where the Club plays. It’s a great opportunity for us to allow our employees to activate around the relationship with Leicester, but also customers.

"At one point, we even were able to do something from a micro small/medium-size enterprise, so again [it’s] extremely important for us, overall.

The world’s becoming a smaller place and I think it’s important that clubs like Leicester are looking to grow their brand globally, with the help of DHL, who have been a fantastic global partner for them.

"We have our Americas management board here at our Miami hub. This is the hub for Central/South America for us, for DHL Express here in the Americas, and to have him here with the Americas management board – and Filbert – was a great morning. Every year gets measured on its own and it’s important then, not only for us, but as well for the Club.

"We’ll continue to look at it in that fashion but equally on how we can continue to leverage it locally within the community for our employees and customers in the East Midlands and the surrounding area and for the country itself."

For Taggart, it was also an opportunity to spread Leicester City's message to a new audience, including staff at all levels across the hub, and the Northern Irishman was made to feel incredibly welcome.

"It was a fantastic little trip wasn’t it?" he said afterwards. "It was great to get out and see all the different aspects of how a company like DHL works.

"We’ve been on the shop floor, where it’s the run up to Christmas, so they’re very, very busy at the minute. So, for them to take a bit of time out to come and speak to us, have a few photographs, was great for them and a pleasure for us as well.

"The world’s becoming a smaller place and I think it’s important that clubs like Leicester are looking to grow their brand globally, with the help of DHL, who have been a fantastic global partner for them, working hand in hand, so it becomes vitally important that these relationships continually grow and mature. I think that’s what you’re seeing between Leicester and DHL.

"I was quite surprised really by just how big Premier League football is becoming in the USA. So, it was a bit of a shock when a lot of people actually knew who I was when I’m obviously a bit of an old dinosaur, so it was very invigorating and just a lovely bunch of people to hang around with for a bit."
