The 22-year-old, who is currently on loan at Sky Bet League 1 side Rotherham United, joined the Foxes from the Danish Superliga outfit Esbjerg in January 2016 and immediately impressed for the Club’s Development Squad, before continuing his progress with Sky Bet League 2 side Oldham Athletic last term.

Iversen said: "It feels really, really good to sign a contract with Leicester. I’ve spent four years already at the Club so, of course, I’m really happy about it as I'm proud to be a Leicester City player.

"I'm enjoying my time at Rotherham this season too. It’s a really good club to play for, I’ve been happy with my performances and I’m excited for what’s to come."

Iversen underlined his potential with some excellent displays for the Latics during the 2018/19 season, keeping 16 clean sheets in 49 games in all competitions as they finished the campaign in 14th position.

The youngster has also represented Denmark at youth international levels from Under-16 to Under-21, as well as playing three times for his country in last summer’s UEFA European Under-21 Championships in Italy.

This season, Iversen has been a regular in Paul Warne’s Rotherham side, who are currently top of Sky Bet League One after 33 games, having featured a total of 36 times in all competitions, including nine clean sheets.
