Lennon was signed from Crewe Alexandra in the winter of 1996 as Martin O'Neill looked to turn the Club's fortunes around and secure a place in the old First Division's play-off berths.
That achievement, courtesy of a final day success at Watford, was secured before Steve Claridge's shin, with seconds of extra-time remaining, defeated Crystal Palace in the final at Wembley.
