Thomas, an England youth international, who has now broken into Leicester City's Under-23s side on a regular basis, says he has enjoyed having more free time, while maintaining his fitness levels.
"I’m doing alright to be fair," the 18-year-old left-sided star told LCFC TV this week. "I’ve been able get a lot more time with the family then I do usually, so it’s been good in that way.
"I’ve had TV series and stuff to watch on Netflix, so I’m just keeping myself fit and hoping I can get back to the football as soon as possible.
"My favourite series of all time is Prison Break, so I’m just watching that for the second time because I’m running out of things to watch!

"We’re usually always going to away games and stopping over so you don’t get to see your family as much apart from in the evenings.
"We’re usually out of the house more than we’re in the house, so it’s good to get to be with the family a lot more."
Naturally, Thomas and his team-mates have had to find new ways to remain fit - and group sessions via webcam calls, organised by the Club, have been helping.
"I’m just trying to keep myself getting touches on the ball so I don’t lose my technique and I’m hoping to get back as soon as possible," he added.

"We’ll do gym work with the sports scientists so we’re keeping up to date with our fitness as well as we can.

"We all catch up a little bit after the gym sessions and I’ve stayed in touch with quite a few of the lads, over social media, to see how they’re getting on through this so it’s been good.
"I play games of FIFA against them every now and then as well. I wouldn’t class myself as the best player I’ve ever seen, but I give it a good go! It’s good to catch up with each other on the consoles."
As one of the more versatile members of the Development Squad, Thomas has been deployed across the left side of City's Under-23s line-ups over previous years, which is a role he revels in.
"I felt like I was doing well," he explained. "I made my way into the team and I kept my place, so I felt like it was a positive season for myself and I got a lot of games.
"I’m just looking to get back to what I was doing now. I’ve played quite a lot of games in left wing-back of left midfield. I like attacking too, so I don’t mind either of the positions."
