Starting on Sunday, Matchday Live brings the Blue Army closer to the action with 90 minutes of previews and opinion from some of the most iconic ex-players to ever wear the shirt.

Tony Cottee – one of the top flight’s most prolific-ever goalscorers and the Club’s fifth all-time top Premier League marksman – joins the LCFC TV panel, alongside 1999/00 Player of the Season, Gerry Taggart, a former Northern Ireland international with 51 caps to his name.

Over the course of the programme, starting at 12:30pm, Tony and Gerry will provide their expert opinion and explain where Sunday’s clash at West Bromwich Albion could be won and lost for the Foxes (2pm kick-off).

With a combined total of over 1,200 appearances over their whole careers, the duo will also be on hand at full-time to dissect City’s 2020/21 opener in the company of presenter Dan Bates.

Following a fifth-place finish in the Premier League last term, Brendan Rodgers’ Foxes outfit will be making their seventh consecutive appearance in England’s top-flight this term.

As the action kicks off at the Hawthorns, the Blue Army have the choice of staying with Tony and Gerry as they watch along live, or switching over to LCFC Radio for detailed commentary. Matt Elliott, the imperious former Club captain whose brace enabled the Club to lift its third League Cup in 2000, is set to provide his expertise over on Leicester City’s official radio station.

The Scotland defender made over 300 appearances for the Foxes across a halcyon eight-year spell in Leicester, not only winning the League Cup, but also skippering the side in Europe and later winning promotion back to the Premier League during their maiden year on Filbert Way.

Alongside James Fielden in the pressbox in the Black Country, Elliott will comment on the unfolding drama minute-by-minute as City tackle Slaven Bilić’s newly promoted Baggies.

While Leicester have enjoyed four successive victories at Albion, the hosts will be buoyed by a 2019/20 campaign which saw them find the net 77 times in the Sky Bet Championship.

All coverage across LCFC TV and LCFC Radio will be available completely free of charge to Digital Members on LCFC.com (free sign-up), while supporters following from home will also be able to tune in to all pre and post-match programming on @LCFC on social media.

You can also make your views heard by commenting on the live stream from 12:30pm onwards and the best comments will be put to Tony and Gerry on the live pre-match show.
