Young Foxes Open 2020/21 U18 PL Season At Villa

Leicester City's Under-18s side started their U18 Premier League South campaign with an away clash with Aston Villa at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground on Saturday.

Two-time Academy Player of the Season Oliver Bosworth starting in goal for the young Foxes, while both Terell and Kian Pennant lined up in a five-man midfield for the visitors.

City, though, were behind inside just three minutes at Villa's training ground as Kahrel Reddin opened his account in the 2020/21 campaign for the home side.

Another effort, from Brad Young, extended Villains' lead on the half-hour mark, prompting Leicester to hit back almost immediately through Terell Pennant.

Pennant, who also starred for the Club's Development Squad in Tuesday's EFL Trophy win at Hull City, registered seven goals and four assists during the curtailed 2019/20 season.

After a narrow 2-1 loss, though, the young Foxes sit in 10th place in the early U18 Premier League South standings after securing a sixth-placed finish last term.

They'll next be in action on Saturday 26 September when Norwich City are the hosts at the Lotus Training Centre (12pm BST kick-off).
