Fofana, 19, joined the Club from Ligue 1 side AS Saint-Étienne earlier this month and made his Under-21s debut for Les Bleus in a 5-0 victory over Liechtenstein on Thursday evening.

The home side's only goal of the game came in the 22nd minute as Sevilla defender Jules Koundé got on the end of Amine Gouiri's free-kick at Stade de la Meinau in Strasbourg.

The result sees Sylvain Ripoll's young French outfit go level on 21 points with Switzerland in UEFA U21 EURO qualifying Group B, 12 points clear of third-placed Slovakia.

There could be more senior and youth international representation for the Club on Tuesday, meanwhile, with five Foxes in contention to appear for their nations.

Kelechi Iheanacho's Nigeria face Tunisia in an international friendly at neutral venue Jacques Lemans Arena in Austria (7:30pm kick-off).

James Justin could star as U21 EURO qualifying Group C leaders England Under-21s entertain Turkey Under-21s at Wolverhampton Wanderers' Molineux Stadium at 7:30pm.

Forward Josh Eppiah, on loan at Oud-Heverlee Leuven, may also appear for Belgium's Under-21s - top of Group I - against Moldova Under-21s at Malaya Sportivnaya Arena (3pm kick-off).

Elsewhere, two City youngsters, full-back Luke Thomas and striker Will Russ, could go head-to-head when England Under-20s host Wales Under-20s in a 12pm kick-off at St. George’s Park in Burton.

On Wednesday, there could also be senior action for Kasper Schmeichel (Denmark), Harvey Barnes (England), Youri Tielemans, Dennis Praet, Timothy Castagne (Belgium), Jonny Evans (Northern Ireland), Çağlar Söyüncü, Cengiz Ünder (Turkey) and Danny Ward (Wales).
