Having opened the scoring against England on Sunday, the Foxes midfielder netted the first goal of the game for Belgium once more on Wednesday evening.

Picking up a loose ball on the edge of the area, Tielemans sent a low, left-footed drive beyond City team-mate Kasper Schmeichel in the Danes' net after just three minutes.

Denmark's Jonas Wind levelled matters shortly after, but Leicester's No.8 contributed to the Red Devils' second of the night after the break.

Tielemans' quickly-taken free-kick allowed Kevin De Bruyne to assist Romelu Lukaku to make it 2-1, despite Schmeichel getting a hand to the Internazionale forward's effort.

Lukaku added a third for the hosts, with Tielemans again involved as his superb pass found Thorgan Hazard who crossed in for the former Manchester United man to slot home.

A Thibaut Courtois own goal pulled another back for the visitors, before De Bruyne struck Belgium's fourth of the night and confirmed Belgium's qualification for the Nations League Finals.

Foxes midfielder Dennis Praet was an unused substitute for the home side at King Power at Den Dreef Stadium.

Meanwhile, Danny Ward helped Wales to a 3-1 victory over Finland to secure his country's promotion to the top tier of the Nations League.

Danny Ward played 90 minutes in Wales' 3-1 Nations League success over Finland in Cardiff.

Goals from Harry Wilson and Daniel James put the Dragons in control in Cardiff, before Norwich City's Teemu Pukki pulled one back for Finland.

However, Cardiff City's Kieffer Moore made it 3-1 late on, securing three points for Wales that ensures they finish top of Group B4, with 16 points from six matches.

At Windsor Park, Jonny Evans completed 90 minutes for Northern Ireland in their 1-1 Nations League draw with Romania.

It concludes a Nations League campaign for Northern Ireland in which they finished bottom of Group B1.

Cengiz Ünder, finally, did not feature in Turkey's 2-0 defeat by Hungary at Ferenc Puskás Stadium.
