Acquired through the close relationship between Leicester City’s owners and the Malet-Roquefort family of Chateau La Gaffelière, it becomes the Club’s first signature wine and will be a Foxes Fanstore UK exclusive.
Alongside their love for the Foxes, fine wine is a long-standing passion of Leicester City Chairman Khun Aiyawatt and the Srivaddhanaprabha family, whose efforts to share their interests with the Club’s supporters – including polo, Muay Thai and Belgian football – date back to the start of their ownership in 2010.
Previously available through King Power in Thailand, this latest offering is a product of the family’s close bonds with some of the finest vintners in the Sud-Ouest, Frances’s famous wine region.
Chateau Chapelle d’Alienor
Chateau Chapelle d’Alienor is the Club's first signature wine.
The Malet-Roquefort family of Chateau La Gaffelière produce some of the finest Bordeaux in the St Emilion region of south-west France. Grown on clay and limestone slopes, the blend of 80 per cent Merlot and 20 per cent Cabernet Franc is produced by the oenologists and agronomists of La Gaffelière itself.
Chateau Chapelle d’Alienor is a wonderful memento that can be enjoyed by friends and family into the festive period, with its 2016 vintage serving as a fitting adornment considering the year’s special significance for the Football Club.
