- Kasper Schmeichel notched up 90 minutes and a shutout in Denmark’s 2-0 win in Israel
- Wesley Fofana made his third appearance for France Under-21s, who lost 1-0 to Denmark Under-21s

The City No.5 played from start to finish but could not prevent his nation from falling to a 2022 FIFA World Cup Group C qualifying defeat in Parma as efforts from Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi and Lazio striker Ciro Immobile secured a triumph for the world's 10th-ranked side.

Earlier in the day, Foxes No.1 Kasper Schmeichel earned his 61st cap for the Danes as they registered three points and a clean sheet in their World Cup Group F opener against Israel at Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv.

Strikes from Barcelona’s Martin Braithwaite and FC Copenhagen’s Jonas Older Wind sealed the 2-0 success ahead of facing Moldova in another qualifier at MCH Arena in Herning in three days’ time.

Meanwhile, centre-back Wesley Fofana made his third appearance for France Under-21s in their 2021 UEFA U21 European Championships Group C opener against Denmark Under-21s at Haladás Stadion in Szombathely, Hungary.

Fofana played the full 90 minutes for his nation, who could not avoid defeat despite enjoying the majority of possession against their Danish counterparts in a 1-0 reverse.

Finally, young shot-stopper Chituru Odunze, enjoying an invaluable experience while away with his nation’s senior side, was an unused substitute for the USA in their 4-1 friendly victory over Jamaica at Stadion Wiener Neustadt in Austria.

The triumph came courtesy of efforts from Barcelona defender Sergino Dest and Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Brendan Aaronson, as well as a brace from LA Galaxy’s Sebastian Lletget. The USA next take on Evans’ Northern Ireland in Belfast in a friendly on Sunday.
