- She played 25 times last season as the Foxes earned promotion to the Women’s Super League

The 23-year-old - who made 25 appearances in all competitions during the 2020/21 campaign - joined the Foxes from University of Southern California side USC Trojans in January 2020.

Her impressive performances in defence helped LCFC Women to the FA Women’s Championship title for the first time in the Club’s history last season, and with-it promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League in 2021/22.

She netted her first City goal in a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United Women at Farley Way Stadium in January 2021.

After signing her new deal, Plumptre told LCFC.com: “This is my hometown Club and to have achieved what we have in my first full season of being here was amazing.

“Being around the city that I grew up in and being around my family for at least another two years, being at a Club that has provided so much for all of us on the women’s side already. I can’t complain, there’s nothing else I could ask for really."

She joined the Club’s Girls’ Centre of Excellence as an eight-year-old before later moving to America and becoming an NCAA national champion with the USC Trojans in 2016.

Internationally, she has scored six times in 30 appearances at youth level for England and has participated in two UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championships.
