Europa League Winners Villarreal To Visit King Power Stadium In Pre-Season

- Leicester City to face Spanish side Villarreal on Filbert Way
- Pre-season friendly to take place on Wednesday 4 August (7:45pm kick-off)
- The Yellow Submarine defeated Manchester United on penalties in last season’s UEFA Europa League Final

The fixture on Filbert Way - which will take place three days before the Foxes face Manchester City in the Community Shield at Wembley - will be the Club’s only home game this pre-season. 

The Spanish side – managed by former Sevilla, PSG and Arsenal boss Unai Emery – defeated Manchester United on penalties in last season’s Europa League final. 

Their victory over the Red Devils in Gdansk, which sealed UEFA Champions League qualification, saw them lift the trophy for the first time in their history. 

The friendly against the Yellow Submarine adds to City’s list of pre-season fixtures, with games away to Burton Albion, Wycombe Wanderers and QPR already scheduled.  

Please note that in order to keep everyone in attendance as safe as possible, the Football Club kindly requests that supporters wear a mask while moving around the stadium.

Supporters with a disability 

- Supporters with a disability can purchase at the above match ticket prices and will receive a free Personal Assistant ticket.
- You must select the two seats in order to receive the free Personal Assistant.

- Seasonal hospitality clients and executive boxholders will be contacted by the Hospitality Team for priority booking. Hospitality packages will be available on General Sale online from Thursday 22 July at 5pm.

- One ticket per Season Ticket/Membership.
- One Home Priority Point will be awarded for this fixture.
- Supporters must assign each ticket to each supporter that they are purchasing tickets for.
- Points cannot be transferred.
- Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an over 18.
- Please note Blocks P2 and P3 are Family Areas.
- As per current government guidelines relating to COVID-19, there are no conditions of entry for supporters to this fixture.
