A Fantastic Club, Says Albrighton

Marc Albrighton speaks to LCFC TV after signing a new contract at Leicester City to reflect on his time so far with the Foxes and to look to the future.

Speaking to LCFC TV after signing his new deal, he said: “I’m delighted. Obviously, it’s a Club that is progressing every single year. It’s a fantastic Club with the people here and the direction that they’re going – it’s great to be a part of.

“I have always been the type of player and person who wants to establish himself at a club and stay there. I’m settled here and I’m really enjoying it.”

A favourite among the Blue Army, Albrighton has been at the heart of some of the most memorable moments in the Club’s history - most notably the 2015/16 Premier League title win and more recently the Emirates FA Cup triumph.

His contributions at both ends of the pitch and incredible work-rate have made him an invaluable player for the Foxes.

He scored the Club’s first-ever UEFA Champions League goal away at Club Brugge and fired home the decisive strike against Sevilla to book a quarter-final spot later in the competition.

Since Brendan Rodgers took over as City manager in February 2019, Albrighton has featured on 75 occasions, as he continues to prove himself to be a key part of the team.
