King Power Stadium

Important Supporter Information: Are You Match Ready?

The return of Leicester City fans to King Power Stadium has been a welcome boost during this Premier League season and supporter safety continues to be the Football Club’s top priority.

- LCFC publishes updated matchday supporter requirements following implementation of Autumn/Winter Plan B
- Adults required to pre-register to confirm they are fully vaccinated, exempt, or testing negative before matchday
- COVID certification spot checks in place on entry to King Power Stadium

With that in mind, it is important that supporters attending Leicester City fixtures are aware of and compliant with the requirements of the UK Government’s Autumn/Winter Plan B. The implementation of these plans has now been confirmed and means changing requirements for adults attending venues with more than 10,000 people.

Supporters aged 18 and over will be required to complete and sign an online pre-registration form (valid for the season) to show they have understood and agree to updated conditions of entry. These require all adult supporters to have certification that demonstrates they are any one of the following:

- Fully vaccinated (currently a full course of vaccination without the need for a booster);
- Able to provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test in the 48 hours preceding the event;
- Eligible for medical exemption

This means that those aged 18 years or over must have a valid NHS COVID Pass, or an alternative proof of a negative test result, to gain entry into the stadium.

In addition to the requirement for supporters to pre-register, the Club Is required to conduct COVID-19 certification spot checks at turnstiles, to ensure supporters are adhering to the requirements of the UK Government’s Autumn/Winter Plan B. It is therefore advised that supporters arrive early to allow time for these checks to take place prior to kick-off.

Supporters that fail to pre-register or provide appropriate COVID certification on request risk being refused entry and tickets will not be refunded.

Are You Match Ready?

It is important that supporters attending Leicester City fixtures are aware of and compliant with the requirements of the UK Government’s Autumn/Winter Plan B. Please watch this video to make sure you're match ready.

Accepted forms of COVID-19 certification:

- COVID Pass via the NHS app – download HERE
- COVID Pass downloaded from the NHS App to your Apple or Google wallet
- A PDF version of the NHS COVID pass
- A COVID Pass letter for those who are double vaccinated
- An EU Digital COVID Certificate
- A text or email from the NHS confirming a negative lateral flow test result in the 48 hours preceding the event

Along with all Premier League clubs, Leicester City has been conducting COVID-19 certification spot checks for several months to help prepare supporters for future requirements, as well as helping to ensure stadiums can continue to operate at full capacity. Now that the UK Government’s Autumn/Winter Plan B has been introduced, and starting with the Tottenham Hotspur fixture, supporters must now be ‘match ready’, given the new legal requirements to enter stadiums.

If you are fully vaccinated, obtaining an NHS COVID Pass through the NHS App (not to be confused with the NHS COVID-19 contact tracing app) will be the most efficient means of gaining access to the stadium. It is strongly advised that supporters download their NHS COVID Pass well in advance of the event and check they are in-date, to avoid delays during busy periods.

Supporters will also be required to complete and sign an online pre-registration form for the season, to show they have understood and agree to the conditions of entry. To complete the COVID pre-registration, click HERE. This should be completed by ALL supporters attending games, including Season Ticket Holders, Fox Members and anyone buying tickets on general sale. It will be valid for both home and away games.

Due to the evolving nature of the pandemic, supporters may be required to fill out other pre-registration forms in the future, in the event new COVID-19 requirements are introduced.

Failure to pre-register or produce valid COVID certification on matchday may result in entry to the stadium being refused and tickets will not be refunded. Please also note that there is no facility for supporters to take a lateral flow test on site, so these must be completed prior to attending a game.

Please remember that supporters MUST NOT attend a game if they have any COVID-19 symptoms and/or are required to self-isolate.

The Football Club would like to take this opportunity to thank supporters for their cooperation, as we do all we can to keep those in attendance safe and ensure stadiums can continue to operate at full capacity.

In line with retail guidelines, face coverings or a proof of exemption are also required on entry to the Foxes Fanstore, while supporters should also be mindful that in order to maintain safe social distancing, there may be queues outside the store during busy periods.

What changes are coming into effect?

The UK Government have legislated that proof of vaccination, a negative lateral flow test or exemption is now a condition of entry to large-scale events, such as Premier League football matches. Proof of vaccination (two doses, no current requirement for the booster) or exemption will only be accepted by the means specified above. Proof of a negative lateral flow test in the preceding 48 hours must be via NHS confirmation through text or email.

Why am I being asked to do this?

The updated requirements are conditions of attendance at large-scale events, under the terms of the UK Government’s Autumn/Winter Plan B, which has been implemented to protect the NHS in response to rising case of COVID-19. King Power Stadium, and all other Premier League stadiums, are required to adhere to these new requirements by law.

What if I cannot confirm my COVID-19 status?

Supporters unable to prove their COVID vaccination status may alternatively provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test taken in the 48 hours preceding the event. The Club will only accept a negative lateral flow test result through NHS confirmation via email or text message. Failure to provide this on request will result in refusal of entry into the stadium without a refund.

How can I confirm my COVID-19 status?

Adult supporters that are fully vaccinated are encouraged to obtain an NHS COVID Pass via the NHS App. Details on how to obtain your NHS COVID Pass are available HERE. As mentioned above, proof of a negative lateral flow test in the 48 hours preceding the event will also be accepted.
