Choudhury, an Academy graduate at the Club, appeared in an unfamiliar centre-back role for the Foxes last time out during a 4-1 triumph over Watford in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup. Postponements have dented City's schedule over recent weeks, but Choudhury is hoping to get back in the flow.

Leicester welcome Spurs to King Power Stadium for a 7:30pm kick-off on Wednesday and Choudhury has spoken to CITY Matchday Magazine this week to preview the clash with Antonio Conte's men.

"The lads are looking forward to getting back into a routine and playing games on a more regular basis," he told the official Leicester City programme. "It’s our job, and we love doing it.

The team is still full of confidence, and the manager believes in us, so we’re optimistic about what we can achieve between now and May. Our aim is to win every game and push as far up the table as we can, so that’s what we’ll try to do.

"Representing this Club is always special so when games come along, we look forward to them. We’ll be doing everything we can to get the win, which will hopefully kick-start a positive second half of the season.

"We’ve had patches of good form this season, where we’ve shown how good we can be, but we’ve also struggled at times and not been at the level we’ve shown in previous seasons.

"The team is still full of confidence, and the manager believes in us, so we’re optimistic about what we can achieve between now and May. Our aim is to win every game and push as far up the table as we can, so that’s what we’ll try to do."

Spurs have shown signs of improvement since Conte's appointment in north London late last year and Choudhury expects it will be a serious test of Leicester's mettle on Filbert Way.

"We know it will be a difficult game," the 24-year-old explained. "Spurs have quality throughout the squad and will make it tough, but we have a positive mentality and really look forward to games like these. We want to go out there and perform well, like we know we can.

"Every game provides an opportunity to improve and be better than our last game."
