Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Bott began her career with local outfits Tawa AFC, Lynn-Avon United and Waterside Karori before making a move to Europe.

Her senior career began in Germany with Bundesliga side FF USV, where the defender made 15 appearances in the German top flight.

After signing for the Foxes, she told LCFC TV: “It feels amazing. It’s been a long road to get here but it’s so great to finally be here and get amongst things and meet everyone. It’s awesome, so I’m happy now.”

Bott's senior debut for New Zealand arrived in March 2014, making her first appearance for the Football Ferns before also competing in the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups in Canada and France respectively. Her first goal on the international stage, meanwhile, came in the 2019 Cup of Nations.

Bott, who will wear no.4, has joined up with her new team-mates ahead of Saturday's Barclays FA Women's Super League fixture against Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village.
