LCFC Radio To Host Live Roma Coverage This Thursday
- Leicester City and Roma go head-to-head for a spot in the UEFA Europa Conference League Final
- Thursday evening’s semi-final second leg comes from Stadio Olimpico (8pm kick-off)
- Matchday Live will be on air from 6:30pm, available via @LCFC social media and LCFC Radio
- Former Foxes Iwan Roberts, Gerry Taggart and Matt Elliott are set to star across the live broadcast
Following a 1-1 draw in the opening leg on Filbert Way, during which Gianluca Mancini’s own goal cancelled out a first-half opener from Lorenzo Pellegrini, the two sides prepare to do battle once more in the cauldron of the Stadio Olimpico, with a place in the competition’s inaugural final at stake.
Build-up to Thursday’s 8pm kick-off will begin at 6:30pm when Matchday Live gets underway from the studio, as presenter Lewis Mason is joined by Foxes legends Iwan Roberts and Gerry Taggart.
Available to watch on @LCFC social media, the one-and-a-half-hour preview show, which includes interviews from both camps, will also feature contributions from another former City star Matt Elliott, who will be out in Rome.
The Goals From City's 1-1 UECL Draw With Roma
After Lorenzo Pellegrini's opener for Roma, Leicester City forced an own goal from Gianluca Mancini in the first leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League last-four tie.
Then, at around 7:50pm, radio commentary begins, with Elliott positioned in the pressbox alongside Dan Bates and Niall McCaughan for live updates from Italy – exclusively available for free on the dedicated Match Centre.
After the full-time whistle blows, a further 30 minutes of analysis and debate will follow on LCFC's digital radio station, with reaction to what could be another historic night in Leicester City’s latest European journey.
