Brentford are first up for the Foxes at King Power Stadium on 6 August, before an away trip to Arsenal seven days later. Southampton then visit Filbert Way, before another trip to the capital to tackle Chelsea, while Manchester United are then due in the East Midlands to end City's August schedule.

It promises to be a thrilling first chapter in the Club's ninth consecutive Premier League season and Dewsbury-Hall, who broke into the first team last term, is excited to get started. The Academy graduate won both the Players' Player and Young Player of the Season awards last terms.

We’ll be fully prepared and will expect a tough game, but I’m just really eager for that first whistle now and can’t wait to get going again in the Premier League.

“The 2021/22 season will be one I never forget,” he said. "Making my first team debut and scoring my first senior goal for Leicester were magical moments. I’ve had a taste of Premier League football now, and just want to experience more of it and keep growing and improving as a player and as a team.

“I’m looking forward to the opening day and the challenge Brentford will pose. We’ll be fully prepared and will expect a tough game, but I’m just really eager for that first whistle now and can’t wait to get going again in the Premier League.”

Dewsbury-Hall, 23, is aware of the challenge which early games against three of last season's top six will pose, but is nonetheless confident in Leicester's abilities. The Shepshed-based central midfielder also had a message for the Blue Army, who regularly sing his name in the stands.

“Looking at our opening few fixtures, they are all going to be tough, with games against Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea in there, but those are the matches you want to play in and I’m so excited to see what this team can do against those teams,” he added.

“I’d also like to thank the supporters for the love they’ve shown me over the past 12 months or so. It’s been an incredible year, and I just want to kick-on now and help bring more success to this Club.”
