Missy Goodwin Extends King Power Stadium Stay

The 20-year-old joined the Foxes in January of 2022, initially on a short-term deal, with her impressive development in a Leicester City shirt seeing her make 30 appearances for the first team – including 23 last season.
Speaking to LCFC.com, Goodwin said: "It’s really exciting to sign a new contract with LCFC Women. After what we did last season, it’s great to have the chance to build on what we created and exciting to be a part of.
“My time at Leicester so far has been huge for my development, so having the chance to sign a new deal was a no-brainer really because it can allow me to keep improving.”
An exciting and dynamic young forward, Goodwin’s performances have also earned her recognition on the international stage as a regular with England’s youth age groups, and adds to the growing contingent of City players involved with their respective football associations.
Goodwin’s extension further bolsters the attacking options at the Football Club as the team now prepares to return to Belvoir Drive later in July ahead of another season competing in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
