The Belgium international featured in City's opening three games of the season - wins over Coventry City, Burton Albion and Huddersfield Town - but has been absent since due to a back concern.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's challenge against Hull City at King Power Stadium, with the Foxes looking for a seventh win in a row, Maresca provided an update on Praet's condition. City are currently top of the Sky Bet Championship.

"It’s an important injury," Maresca told reporters in Seagrave. "It will probably be between 10-12 weeks."

Hull The Focus In Seagrave

Leicester City's players continue their work in Seagrave ahead of Saturday's encounter with Hull City.

Conor Coady, on the other hand, is getting closer to a return after a foot injury sustained in pre-season. Despite his absence on the field, Maresca has been delighted with the impact made by the former Wolverhampton Wanderers defender.

"Probably, after the I break, he can finally join us in a [training] session and then we'll go day by day," the Italian said. [His impact has been] huge. He was almost every day with us, in every game, home and away.

"He’s shown exactly what he is in terms of leadership as a team-mate. He’s always there so that’s fantastic."
