It's second vs. third in the Sky Bet Championship - a match which will be broadcast globally, including in the UK for the first time, on Foxes Hub this Wednesday (7:45pm BST kick-off).

Faes, who scored for the Foxes in their 4-1 success at Blackburn Rovers on Sunday, is looking forward to the occasion, which could see Leicester open up a seven-point gap to third in the table.

"They are third and we are first, so it’ll be a nice game for us," the Belgium centre-back told CITY, the official Leicester City matchday magazine, on sale on Filbert Way before kick-off.

"We know that we can make a bit of a gap at the top already if we win, which is something we definitely want to do.

We’ll approach it as we always do and hopefully get a win, but we know it’ll be difficult for us against a team who have started the season in good form and playing well.

"We’ll take the game as we do every week and we’ll see what it brings us. They are [third in the table] for a reason. They’re a very good team and they’ve shown that so far this season.

"It’s a short period for us before the game, but we’ll try to recover well, train well, prepare well and then get onto them.

"We’ll approach it as we always do and hopefully get a win, but we know it’ll be difficult for us against a team who have started the season in good form and playing well."

Returning to home ground after a double-header of away games is also a source of excitement for Faes, who praised the Blue Army's support at home and away.

"It’s very nice," he added. "We love playing at home with the fans. They always push us forwards and that’s a good thing for us.

"Away from home, we’re doing very well too this season, but obviously at home it’s always nice to play in front of our supporters.

"We would love to give them another win to celebrate because it would be a big win for us."

The former Reims defender was also overjoyed to score his maiden goal of the season on Sunday - highlighting the need for others to contribute in front of goal.

"Yes, it felt very good," he beamed. "Finally! It took some time to get one, but now I’m looking for more.

"Defenders always want to score as well when they are in attacking positions so hopefully I can contribute with more and help the team achieve its targets.

"Of course, everyone wants to score. Even the guys on the bench, coming on off the bench, they can make the difference for us. That’s what the Manager asks from us.

"It’s a lot of games in a short period so we need everyone. We’re showing that now and getting positive results as a reward so hopefully we can continue to do that."
