Young Foxes Lose Out To Brentford
A first-half goal from Valintino Adedokun was enough to secure the points for the hosts at Wheatsheaf Park in Staines, as the young Foxes were seen off in their latest game Group G of the PL Cup, with attention now turning back to Premier League 2 action.
On Tuesday night, Leicester lost out to Fleetwood Town in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy group stage, as two goals in either half saw the hosts take the points in Northern Group D to progress to the next stages.
City exited the competition as a result, despite overcoming Tranmere Rovers, of Sky Bet League 2, earlier this season.
The Foxes' PL Cup campaign, meanwhile, continued in the capital against a Brentford side who climbed into second place in the group thanks to an early goal from Adedokun, just 18 minutes in.
Their next test sees them welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are 14th in the standings, to LCFC Training Ground, but the home side will have plenty of time to prepare for the test of their Midlands' rivals, who they don't face until Monday 4 December (7pm GMT kick-off).
