'A Great Feeling To Extend My Stay Here'
Hear from a delighted Ben Nelson after the young defender signed a new Leicester City contract to keep him at the Football Club for another three-and-a-half years.
Since joining the Club at the age of nine, Nelson has progressed steadily through the Academy in recent seasons, having made 41 appearances for the Under-21s side in Premier League 2, scoring two goals.
Last season also saw him gain Football League experience with impressive loan spells in League 2 for Rochdale, where he played 12 times, and a further 15 appearances for Doncaster Rovers during the second half of the campaign.
An England youth international, Nelson first joined the First Team squad at Leicester City during the 2020/21 term, when he was part of the matchday squad for a UEFA Europa League game away to Zorya Luhansk as a 16-year-old in December 2020 – a campaign that saw him named the Club’s Academy Player of the Season.
